Step by Step Process of Installing WordPress

Installing WordPress can be done within a few minutes by accessing control panel.

Whenever we buy a web hosting, immediately will get a control panel or C-Panel access  to administer the server and manage websites on a single location given by Hosting services.

You will receive C-Panel “URL” and “Login ID” on your E-mail ID which was given during registration.

  • yourdomainname.ext/cpanel or www.yourdomainname.ext/cpanel

For Example:

everestvision.com/cpanel or www.everestvision.com/cpanel.

Once you login Control Panel, scroll down and search for a Softaculous apps area, where you will find some of the CMS’s like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Prestashop and much more.

 

So the first step is to click on WordPress tab.

 

Now you are on WordPress Installation Screen, click on Install.

WordPress Installation Software Setup:

Now you will be loaded to WordPress installation software setup area, where we need to fill some of the following information.

 

WordPress Software

  • Choose Protocol: 

Choose Protocol from the drop down menu.

Note If your site has SSL certificate, then please choose HTTPS Protocol.

  • Choose Domain:

Choose your Domain Name to which software needs to be installed.

  • In Directory: 

The directory is relative to your domain and should not exist

  • To Install in Sub folder,type sub folder name.

For Example:

Suppose if you want to install in sub folder file name “dir”, just type dir.

http://yourdomainname.ext/dir/

Or else,

  • Leave this empty to install in main folder.

For Example:

http://yourdomainname.ext

 

 

WordPress Installtion

  • Site Setting:
  • SiteName- Enter name of your site.

For Example: “Everest Vision”

 

  • SiteDescription- Enter description of your site.

For Example: “Enriching your Skills with Digital Marketing”

 

  • Enable Multisite(WPMU): 

Check that box if it is Multi site or else leave it blank if you have single site.

So it means if we have more than one site on one server,then we need check that box or else leave it blank if you have only one site.

 

  • Admin Account:

Enter admin username and password, which will be used while accessing the Administrative area or Back end of your WordPress Dashboard area.

Under admin Email, enter company or personal Email ID.

  • AdminUsername
  • AdminPassword
  • AdminEmail

 

 

WordPress Installation

  • Choose Language: 

Select which language you want to create your website

 

  • Select Plugins: 

Uncheck the Box, we can install the plugins later on depending on our requirement on WordPress Dashboard area.

 

  • Advanced Options: 

Skip and continue, because upgrading can be done manually on WordPress Dashboard area.

 

Finally,

  • Click on Install.

As stated earlier Installing WordPress completed within a few minutes in a simple steps and now you can start accessing Wordpress Dashboard area to customize the website as per the requirement by choosing themes and plugins.
